Tuck the bird under your arm like a football, tail behind your back and head forward... do this sitting down so you can rest their feet on your leg... clamp your elbow down snug on them, that will keep them immobilized and secured, don't squeeze too hard but make sure it's firm... curl the hand...
I have no eggs, period... waiting for my grow outs to mature as I will be culling 2 of my hens and the 1 keeper I will breed forward is raising chicks...
What a lovely gift! Would love to see how they turn out! :D
Oh, and that pic was supposed to say *isn't a Cemani*, lol... these are my current grow outs...
I'm still very much new to the breed, but you might try posting your question here...

Several long time breeders on that thread... curious, how old are your males? I've noticed more mulberry/red showing up...
Thanks! :)
Hope they start soon for you... my first started at 5 1/2 months and 2nd waited til 6 1/2 months... the 3rd is almost 7 months and still waiting, lol...
Some do darken, some don't... best thing is to grow them out completely before making any permanent decisions... light toes/mouth, leakage and fibro you want to recheck after juvenile molt...
How old are yours now?
I was wondering if that could have been it... I don't have the experience of dealing with that line though since I researched and learned to avoid those names... thanks to you and others... :)
Well known and respected breeders names sells... it's what marketing is all about... the issue is, that once someone has stock from a well known breeder and produces another generation, that is now their own breeding... they are based on that breeders stock, but it is no longer 'from them'...
No, I would have to say that she would not... you said from her 'line'... did you buy them directly from Toni-Marie or from someone else who was breeding from her line?
Oh, I had the same exact thing happen when I got my first batch of Lavender Ameraucanas, lol... went through all kinds of BS trying to get a decent boy...
If I'd have known a month ago I could have helped you out... but if you can't find one by the time ours are laying, we can probably get you...
