Honestly, only you can say whether it's the best choice for her...
Having said that, if it was me, yes I would euthanize at this point going by everything you have described... you fought very, very hard... not a single person can fault you there...know that she knows she has been very loved...
X2!
Also, if you don't wish to keep trying, nobody could fault you for that... I know it has been a long, hard and difficult time with her... I'm just wondering if the improvement seen in her early didn't continue because she wasn't eating enough... if you do wish to try, we're here to support...
I would try tube feeding her... it sounds scary, but it's really not that hard...
@casportpony can you post your team tube feeding link here, please? I can't find anything on this site anymore... :(
Maybe a cool compress on her neck might help? But I would try the feet and legs, they thermoregulate through their feet... hope she pulls through... :fl :hugs
Oh, poor girl... :hugs
Don't put her in cold water, if she is super hot then that can put her into shock... and I wouldn't put her whole body in... maybe just set her feet and legs in lukewarm water, see if that helps... slowly cool the water more if it does...
Yes, it does inhibit calcium absorption... shouldn't be given to active layers nor would I give it to ducklings either, since they are growing and need calcium for growth as well...
Here, this is an excellent resource...
Considering the size of her crest, it *might* be neurological rather than classic wry neck... I would still keep up on the vitamin supplents... do not feed spinach it inhibits calcium absorption, I believe...
Yes, get them proper duckling or chick feed, ducks do well with 20% protein... Purina...
