Agree! A few months ago, I would respond to HELP!! postings that were a few hours old and had no replies with "I don't know the answer, but I'll tag some people who probably do." Every one of the OPs thanked me for helping. We were all new to BYC and to having chickens at one time.

I think @Callender Girl said it very well. I have found some trusted information sources here, some "fun/informative/interesting to read their posts" people here, and tried to help where I could or tag people knew more than I. Enough said. Now I'm off to my usual "chat with chicken friends"...

I get thread drift. I do. There are threads for various interests (baking, gardening, or your general locale for example) where people chat about those topics and life in general, and that's great. I love to "check in" on those threads and see what "my chicken friends," as DH calls them, are up...
