Thank you DMRippy. The app says from Twin Lakes ID to here priority mail 2 day with hold for pick up would be $27.95. I'd need to clear it with my husband first but if you are willing to ship him Scott H I would definitely be interested.
I don't know how much shipping is for live birds but I'd be willing to pay shipping to get him here if it's somewhere in the $35 range. Has anyone on here shipped adult birds before that can give me a rough price range? Of course, assuming you would be willing to ship in the first place.
That sounds great. I would appreciate being added to the list once you have fulfilled your local requests. I'd be looking for 6-12 depending on how many I can convince my hubby to let me get :P
Mztre, absolutely beautiful color! Will you be selling chicks or eggs?
ETA: Just saw your signature. I would be very interested in purchasing a few B/B/S chicks. I'm currently in the middle of a big move so it would be a little while but those are some gorgeous birds you have. What are your...
I'm working on getting better pictures to show type. From what I have learned I think this one's tail angle needs to be a little higher, right? She is 5 months old so I know she might still change quite a bit but can anyone tell if she is on the right track? She is rounder than my golden girls...
Oh my...my husband might not be too happy that I'm getting more excuses to hatch tons of chicks. I do that anyway :P
Thanks for all the advice. I definitely want the book from Foley and wish I could afford some breeders, his birds are gorgeous. I hope my boys darken up a bit. No one has gone...
His type is a little better than it looks in his picture, it was 105 out so he was wilting a bit and he crowed immediately after I took the shot. He looks more like this one below in body shape but with a higher tail. This guy has the same heat induced wing droop. I'll need to get some good...
This is my biggest too, Dunce. I really wish his comb was better because his size and color are better than my other roos.
Is that comb ok or would it be a DQ/point reducer?
That definitely looks like a splash. Breeding blue x blue will produce blues, blacks, and splashes. The only way to get 100% blue chicks is with a black x splash.
Usually I could tell by the wattles. The comb didn't start to look different until maybe 6 months or so but the wattles were longer on mine long before that. Maybe at 1 month or so.
