Not yet ,too soon to tell ,typically I can guess based on wings at 2days old but I haven't tried to gender it yet as It has a funky wing I don't want to hurt it,as the chick grows the wing looks more normal and relaxed but is still hanging a little differently, might just have to wait .
I'm not sure but I think it might be a roo it's smaller and has shorter wings ,however one wing might be a lil deformed but the chick moves it fine and doesn't seem to be in any pain I will just have wait n find out as it grows 🙂
I ended up.leaving it alone and it all fell off without having to trim any of it and the chick now named Darwin has graduated to being with its siblings 24/7 after about a week of monitored time with them ,there are no problems they are all healthy and happy together finally 😀
Iv separated chicks and ducklings a few times like this then once the problem area is completely healed put them together more everyday untill they are getting along well which normally takes about a week but it verys depending on the situation and strength progression of the problem bird.

Thankyou, The baby is in a box inside the brooder with the others so it can constantly hear the others and chirps back at them ,but when I try to let it join them they immediately peck at the unabsorbed sac ,so I give them a few minutes together while watching to make sure they don't hurt her...
Every time I put it with the other two they immediately try to rip off the unabsorbed sac ,but the baby is ina box inside the brooder with the others so it can hear them constantly and is chirping back ,thankyou 🙂

Yes baby is still alive ,eating ,drinking ,little poops today but acting like a normal chick aside from being a little more tired and the 2others are doing wonderfully ,very energetic and happy with large appetites🙂
This baby is still sperated from the others for safety, will the umbilical fall off on its own eventually like human new borns, or is it a must to trim situation and if it's not umbilical couldn't trimming kill the chick ? Iv never seen an umbilical cord be so large ,thankyou for help 🙂
Maybe it wasn't as bad as a initially thought, I would think if part of a chicks intestine came out it wouldn't be able to poop ,but it did!! ....and it made it through the night my husband thinks it might dry up and be OK, I just dont see how that's possible or if ,but i am just keeping baby...
