    I was thinking about the louvers on the shutters. You can still have airflow when they are shut. But you are right. But you could keep them closed in the rainy seasons and still have ventilation. But then I don't know how great the price difference would be.

    Sorry about all the rotten luck. Hope it all turns out well. Maybe steel louvers for the windows? Less chance of them getting damaged in storms.

    I think structural steel is different than low carbon steel used for clippers, moms old butcher knife and what not.

    I noticed ou sealed this up tight. Don't you have problems with humidity build up and frost bite? I know in MN. you would.
