Well, they are white and long and can get very big. When you grow them will depend on your region but they are a cool weather crop. I was planning on planting some in early Spring. Radishes bolt really quickly in Colorado's summer heat. They would also make a good fall crop.

Looks like the seeds are poisonous, but the leaves, roots, and flowers are edible. Hummm...wonder if the ducks would munch on them? Could be a good forage plant.
