I would like to congratulate Cathy Gleason for a nice placement this weekend at Bluebonnet/Tx show her New Hampshire cockerel had Reserve American which is a supurb honor as it was an awesome RIR(Texas has lots of them) that bested her for the first place in class that Red went on and got...

Oh yes I can attest to that, Mrs. Kathy has great stock. I have the proof right here in my sight daily. This coming year I will be breeding from my selected ones from this stock myself and if what I see you have accomplished with yours and others have done too, I think I'm going to be pleased...
I saw that on FB good job Walt the NHs are kicking tail this year. COOL
Steven Gribble(sgribble) just won champ of the NH meet at the Knoxville show with a NH pullet this past weekend too he followed her win up with reserved champ cockerel he went there with both barrels ready. He also had...
Wow its nice to see another type New Hampshire from different areas of the world.. I like those the neck/hackle striping, it is far too much (by US Standards) but they are very attractive. I would love to have a male here with that much Columbian striping in the hackles for a Buff Columbian...
I can relate here too, this year I'm not hatching any of my whatchamacallits on purpose If any shows up they will be from sneaky broodies and if so, I hope to find all their little hidey holes and sneak LF eggs (Rocks Reds and NH and Del project) under them. The broodies were extra special too...

If one of the males show signs of striping(columbian. some do, sometimes its faint)) in the the hackles then use him over the solid necked girls and vice versa.
Jeff
I've found generally the white usually is more pronounced with each successive molt, I have not studied this in NH but some Delawares and Barred Rocks. J/S
Jeff
Mrs. Kathy does have some good'uns My ones I have from her group has just finished up their molt and look absolutely awesome and when they get their nice bright red combs and wattles back, they will even look more glorious. I have them a beau all ready and willing to participate in producing...

Exactly, you either got good ones or not so good of ones(LOL) is the difference betwixt them.
Jeff
The "German" description needs to go right besides the word "Heritage poultry" in the WHAT? section along with the Gieco camel too, LOL
Nice pullet Walt.
Cindy George is right you will most definitely have some high tailed girls to match him up with this should even things out greatly its easier the bring tails up than it is to lower them I've found because there are more high tailed birds than lower. It is a natural thing for...
