Make a floor level Brooder...Little Chicks do not follow Momma up the ramp to bed...:)....I tried it and my Hen went up to bed and left all 7 Chicks on the ground...:(..... Lol....:)

Don't raise Chicks with Broody hens if your that scared of your Cats.?...I never worry..My Cat is a hunter..She kills Bush rabbits, Magpies, squirrels and song birds....Never one of my Chicks..:)

The more you interfere with the Chicks integration into the Flock the chances they won't except her are getting higher....I would let out and not interfere ...;)......

Just leave them...If the Hen gets too beat up you might have to remove her and put them out just to free range.... Good luck..:)

Lol...;).....Next time you hatch with a Broody Hen....Introduce earlier...:)......She will make it easier on the Chicks if she has not weaned then....I pop all mine into the flock at 3 weeks with Momma...:)......
