I made the curried squash soup from the butternut squash - very good.
I also tried baking an acorn squash. I'm not crazy about the texture - but I'm one of those people that's weird about food textures. I think I'll stick to the butternut.
maybe I'll grow some next summer - are they easy to grow?
Baked the butternut squash tonight for dinner - did the brown sugar and butter.
It was better than I expected - even DD ate it and she's picky.
My 3 yr old wouldn't touch it though - he won't eat anything mashed.
I have some left that I mashed and left plain -can I freeze it?
I knew I asked at the right place.

The squash looks like this but many in the bin had longer necks.
