I am another chicken owner who does not feed treats. I have never medicated my birds for anything other than coccidia, and then any bird that has to be treated for cccidoa is NEVER put in a breeding pen, I eat them. I do not use any antibiotics. All new birds are rigorously quarantined. I only...
Not all dogs can eat corn. I have a min pin that is allergic to corn. Her hair falls out and then she starts gnawing/chewing herself ...... it gets ugly!
That's pretty much how I do it. When I feed the girls, I leave a spoon full in the bucket to jump start the new bucket full. I keep three buckets going. So in three days it is ready to feed. Easy peasy!

I mix my feed by volume, not weight.
2 cans of All Flock + 1 can of scratch + 1/4 can alfalfa pellets...
Yes, a good sloshing three tears ago, no flogging since then! I put him in a wire cage right where all the hens could see him in all his soaked glory. Absolute mortification!!
Last time I mentioned dunking a chicken in a bucket of water, all hell broke loose. I had members jumping all over me! I did it to a rooster that wouldn't stop flogging me. It worked too!
You and I are alike in many ways!
I watch to see if any feed is left from the day before. If there is feed left, I feed a little less than the day before. The feed dish is a big plastic Christmas tree stand. The hens clean the feed up every day.
