The original plan was for 6 maybe 8 Cinnamon Queens but I got caught up in save a buck fifty if I order 10 so I did... they sent 12! So by the time they grew to full size the original 8' long perch/poop table had been out grown.
For a quick fix I added almost 2'.
The final fix was to put a...
I finally finished up knitting a 10' long one piece MDF poop table top. I butt glued the two pieces together then glued doublers at the joint and around the perimeter. Then I gave it a coat of sanding sealer and two coats of polyurethane.
Here I managed to get the top down from the shop into...
The perch was getting too crowded so I added a west wing, still have a bit tiding up to do on the poop table but usable last night.
That's Queen Victoria going in the nest box for her pre dawn egg drop.

I made a test grit bowl for out in the run from an unknown piece of wood in the firewood pile., needs to be a bit bigger but it works for now. I need to make another one for oyster shell... where is my RoundTuit???

Got my Thousand Dollar Egg today from Veronica. The Cinnamon Queen pullets are 17 weeks old today! Veronica is an over achiever for sure laying a 63 gram perfect egg 3 weeks early.
This is where I found it this afternoon while being a Chicken Tender.

Veronica is saying "Letgo my Eggo"... in...
I made a test feeder for out in the run and so far it's working. I have a few minor changes to make in the size but just cobbled this up to test with. One even jumped on it and it did not turn over so that is good. The trough is a bit small so I'll make it bigger and raise it up an inch or so...
We went to Cape Girardeau yesterday to get the Honda serviced. After that on my relentless search for some more 1" x 1" cage wire for the Cinnamon Queens run we went to TSC but all they had was a roll of 1" x 2" which I have some of that. The wife said how far is Stone's from here? It's in...
I added another perch and figured out a quicker way to make it using the band saw. I'm going to reverse the two perches so the low one is under the fan.

Took another photo this morning. After peeling the bark off and squaring it up more or less to the outside surface I took my hand held router and the biggest round over bit and softened the edges. I ran the router from the sides so it followed the surface contour.

I went to my friends house today and got the last of the giant red oak and made a perch from a bit of slab wood for the Cinnamon Queens.
I noodled out the center 6" but it was a bit big so I used a smaller piece to make the roost. After this I softened the edges with a 1/2" round over bit in...
After using the new watering station for a few days I decided to go ahead with my original plan and make a top support. Not because I was worried about the chickens but concerned that I might bump into it. A couple of bits of plywood and some Velcro then screwed to the wall.

While putzing around with my upload issue I wrote a program to open the web pages on each coop and display the stats. It's a Python program using PyQt5 which in turn uses Chrome on the back end. I know all gibberish... but fun to do.
Next I need to figure out how to display all my cameras on...
The big watering station is quite a snug fit into the 3/4 ply so I'm not thinking it needs a bracket up top bit did originally have one in my mind while I was building it.
Oddly enough I stopped filling the feeders for a few weeks and only put some in the bottom tray a few times a day and now...
Finally got around to making a larger watering station for the CQ's
Sorry about the poor quality I can't upload photos over about 250 Kb for some reason here any more. Better photos on my web site here.

All the run photos are here, I can't seem to upload right now as it keeps timing out.
This photo is from the other day before I took down the temporary fencing.
This photo is yesterday after I got the temporary fencing out of the run. It's pretty hot here so I put up a reed fence thing to...
Progress has been a bit slow due to many factors including the heat. I finally got the run enclosed with 1" x 1" cage wire (was lucky to find 4 rolls at a new TSC near by) and put the door on yesterday. Internet is a bit flaky and I can't upload the photos ATM.
