lunachick..... I got your block today and it is even prettier in person than in the picture you posted. I love it and the colors are perfect. Thank you so much.
Elven Dreams...There is more than one way to do it. I have not tried the freezer paper method. I printed my pattern on regular paper, then you just follow the numbers on the pieces. Don't try to cut shapes to start with. You place the paper printed side down, then pin piece #1, right side up...
Elven Dreams...Paper pieceing is not difficult if you cut the pieces large enough. Also, try solid pieces first before trying to make one way prints come out looking good when they are sewn on an angle. Go to quilterscache.com to find all kinds of paper pieced patterns.
Thanks everyone for the comments. Yes, SE, it has certainly helped point me in another direction with my sewing too. I am trying slowly to make a more complicated block each time. And I love paper piecing, or have I said that before.
Acre....you're name's on one just like that. I also...
Ok, y'all, here are my three blocks that are going out tomorrow. I hope you like them. It will be a surprise who gets which one.....
Sorry the middle one is sideways. I didn't realize it until after I had uploaded it.
Calicokat.....I can't wait to see it. I love getting these blocks in the mail. Always a nice surprise. I love your avatar by the way. It's Cool.
I got your addresses, Cluckin', #CaliGirl and chicken women. The blocks will be in the mail tomorrow. I will post a pic as soon as I get them...
Hey Crumples....Glad you made it. I was afraid Darlene was going to scare you off before you got here. We go off on tangents sometimes but we have fun.
By the way, SE, I still think my DH has a cute butt. I hope that was ok to say. I may be 65 but I still think of other things...
I'm so happy for you Ginger. I got a new portable sewing/embroidery machine 2 weeks ago and I love it. These swaps have gotten me into sewing again after probably 10 years of not touching my old machine. Don't tell anyone but I've been sewing on my blocks for the Autumn swap. I guess I'm...
Hey Sandi... We live about 30 miles West of Gainesville. We're west of Trenton and South of Bell. I sent you an email in response to yours. Hope you make it down here sometime.
A big welcome to those of you who are new. There is always room for one more. ......or two.....or three!
Acre, would you put me down for a 3rd block? And would you add that I like earth tones? But, of course, I love any that I get. You know there is always something you can do with a 12" quilt...
