I don't lock them up at night but they all go to the coop on their own at night. I plan on starting to lock them up for security just in case. I have been lucky and only lost one bird to predators in the past year.
I sure will. How do you keep them from moving their nest everytime you collect? My first egg from her was just on the ground next to her water dish and yesterday I couldn't find her egg.
Does anyone have any SQ silver welsh harlequin ducks or hatching eggs available? I would like to add more stock to my flock and I only have one breeding pair. Thanks!
Thanks, I rinsed it off. What's the best way to turn them each day until incubation? Should I open one to double check for fertility even though I seen the deed being done?
Any comments on welshes being broody?
Thanks!
The pair came together and when I got there he said he would throw in another drake. I told him I don't think I need that many drakes but I ended up taking him anyways he was so cute lol.
No my friend won't eat the drake. He is going to keep him for me till I can get some more hens. I need 3 more hens. Thanks for complimenting them.. I really love em they are sweet and beautiful. They came from a breeder in Omaha but don't know any more then that.
