    Oh wow, did not know she was that much bigger. I did find someone a couple towns over from me that raises calls but of course they won't answer me I should probably wait until spring anyways, seems like I get baby fever at the worst times.

    Yea, I figured that it would best to start with pet quality so they do not have as much trouble hatching. Somewhere in NY... can't remember the exact location

    I think the salt in the jug thing is just to keep the water in the jug from freezing so it isn't helping the outside water from freezing along with it.

    True... this also probably would not work in really cold climates. Around here when water freezes it is only a thin layer. I am going to try it this winter if I can remember to see if it works.

    Have you ever tried putting like a ping pong ball in the water dish? I've heard that the constant movement will keep the water from freezing.

    I got the privilege of watching a hawk "fish" the other week, it circled my pond two or three times and then spotted a fish and completely dropped from at least 20 or 30 feet and landed in the water catching the fish and then went off with it in the trees.

    Awesome, I know I keep on asking questions but I'm also wondering if I stagger after a week and put some silkie eggs under her also will all go well? I am a seasoned silkie hatcher but last year when I tried hatching call ducks I had no luck in my incubator (my humidity went too high at the end)...

    What about for shipped eggs, I usually keep them still outside of the incubator for a day and then still in the incubator until most of the air cells reattach, so would I just do that and then put them under the hen?
