Calls are really seasonal layers... some can and do lay during winter, but for the most part it's a spring to summer or fall season for eggs...

@Johnn , These are exceptional pictures and you are and exceptional photographer. Composition is one of the most important parts of any photo and when capturing a duck, tongues are a key component of good composition!

its not common for call ducks to lay during the winter. Mine usually lay March to August or September.

Is that guy from Long Island? When I first started hatching I would always look through eBay at hatching eggs and I would see a listing up year round for calls. They had created too.
