You don't have any issues with that number of drakes?
Thanks for the response and the "sense" - it's the duck faces that I just can't get rid of. The mess... I'd love to get rid of it. But I figure it's a small price to pay to have these little quackers outside in about a month.

You are getting brown Ia. Blues? That seems contradictory
The Ia Blue that hatch brown seem to get better coloring. Bhep and La Mike each got a brown chick from my eggs. In all the Ia Blues that I've hatched (alright, not a lot because I send them to everybody else), I've only got one...

Local time. So everybody has to wait until we Left Coasters get to the Magic Moment.
And there's also the Easter Hatch to look forward to, with probably most of the same participants.
Easter? Who's waiting for Easter?!? We have Valentines day right around the corner...
I'd like to introduce you to the first 7 of my 9 chicks. 8 are from who knows (although 1 has puffy cheeks so I'm guessing my Black Ameraucana is the Daddy. ) My 9th chick out is a Wellie covered by ? The 2 in the incubator are a yellow mutt and a Black Wellie cross.
Woops, forgot the pic
first chick is out. It is the one that was beeping at me last night while candling. It is a mutt, but still a chick. Hopefully this is a change in my luck. There are as more mutts pipping and a bantam Langshan.
