Our local feed store states, "The Bitterness of Poor Quality and Service remains Long after the Sweetness of Cheap Price has passed." What do you do when the price isn't cheap?
Still thinking about that eBay auction for RARE Cream Legbar Hatching Eggs. Anyone have any idea who this person...
Wow, it just amazes me. They are already at $71 with 3h 30 minutes to go. This is utterly the first time, I feel real pain when I've seen a so called "cream legbar."

Everyone, I was looking at Ebay and saw these pictures. Please look at the male photos and tell me what you think. I am concerned about the second photograph of a male in particular.
Quick hackle shot, gold versus cream. Pretty sure we all have got this part figured out, but had one spare minute and just saw this in my millions of photos, my son loves the camera and chickens. Sharing for fun.
Wow, there are some beautiful hoofed creatures here. Back at Cream Legbars, maybe Lonnyandrinda can repost these photos. I see both a more spreading fan tail and less. Since I am newer to poultry is this a matter of differences between hens or difference of poses.
I know I did a lot of...
Female tails.
I'm placing a series of photos here for discussion. Some of my hens have seen a certain amount of attention this spring so pardon the overall feathers. What I am looking at is the out line of the tail.
Our draft Am. SOP is below. What do you think is the better amongst these...
MuckyPuppy, Welcome please share your pics as well. It's great to see!
Parkmule and BabyMakes6, I'm amazed. Our birds here may not yet, fully meet breed standards, but still are beautiful and art worthy, in my mind! Can't wait to see what comes of this. Parkmule have fun looking at a lot of...
Ok, you are always a step ahead or right at the same thought. Yes, artwork. I haven't asked Walt about the portraits in the SOP. When you do have this answer, let us know. Don't want to be asking the same thing twice!
Questions and interest is awesome. We just released the 4 sections. Shape-Male, Female; Color-Male, Female. Still is the short history; economic qualities (here's your egg color); disqualifications; and standard weights. These parts are being worked on.
I've heard at least one person, say 22 1/2 weeks as his girls average for egg laying. Myself, although I'm not a record keeper on this, think my earliest came in around 19 weeks and it was about another 5 weeks before they all (7 pullets) were going. This was last year's spring chicks.
All,
The Cream Legbar Club is proud to announce the first public draft for the American Standard. A topic conversation is also on at the Clubhouse for those who are members. Best efforts will be made to review and consider everyone's comments. Group insight is appreciated. Myself and others...
Both have nice prominent breast (good), backs on the shorter side, in photo tail higher on the second. I like the first a smidge more. His coloring is less brassy. Quick attempt, quick choice.
Right now the draft is at 45 degrees for males, lower for females (35 degrees). The original Legbar tails look to be this, back to Punnett's paper.
Someone else help here, I think a tail can be pinched two ways. There's the flat and vertical way (tent walls not spread) and the all the...
