    Hello, She is new to the Cornish breed.My Bantams lay a small to medium egg (never a large or jumbo).Wait a few months the eggs will get larger as they get older.Your Buckeyes can lay the big ones for you ,there you go CanadianBuckeye.Mine lay mostly medium.

    Try to use that best rooster If he has more right things with him and remember the hen will have her genetics there too.(even with the not so good comb). its always a crap shoot with Cornish. :)

    It is true the closer to the SOP birds the more trouble.     If you want a meat bird buy a Cornish cross, Or a red broiler (a little slower growing but can walk well at weeks old. A pure Cornish will take a lot longer and take more feed to grow out.     Hello, I would say 5 to 6 months as they are a breed slow to mature.Then keep the best ones you have.

    If you want to try this for getting rid of broody.Run a bucket of cold water.Take your broody hen and put her in the water about half way up the body(getting the whole bottom half submerged of the hen) for about 3 mins.This method works about 85% of the time. Good luck:)

    It is a single laced ,a silver laced wyndotte and a dark Cornish.We do get some double lacing but try and cross it with a partial laced bird. Bud has some awesome looking birds at 4 th generation.
