Help! What is wrong with my duckling's feet?

I bought 2 baby runners yesterday and the area they were kept in was horribly dirty, stinky and so tiny for about 100 ducklings all mixed together.
I was heart broken to see the poor darlings in such conditions and would have adopted each one but had to be content with only
2 so I took the 2 smallest ducklings in that little closet.

Their backs are raw and pink with no down but it is their feet that my son just noticed and which is making me worry.

Does anyone know what this is and what I should do about it?

Those brown-black spots look alot like some kind of scab. It is not the natural spotting that some ducks get on their
feet.

Please help. I am so worried about my 2 ducklings. They are apart from the other ducks and their feet are on
grass all day in the fresh air, sunshine and also shade, and tonight I will put a soft towel in their container in the house so that if those spots are sore, the towel
will not be painful.

At first it looked like dirt stuck to their feet. This little guy is the one with the worst of it. The other duckling also has this but not as bad.

Anyone able to help me? I would appreciate it so much. Cannot stand to see a creature suffer.

Oh dear! The poor babies. Is it maybe bumble foot? There's a search bar at the top of the page so you might want to look for duck feet problems. I'll also tag some members that are much more knowledgeable than I am. They can probably offer some helpful advice.

Oh dear! Is it painful? Oh no.. poor darlings. I feel horrible right now but also very glad that I adopted them so I am sure they will get treatment for whatever this turns out to be.
Thank you for your help.

Could be bumble what exactly were they on at the place you got them? could also be burns from the poop they were standing on too. I'd soak their little feet in some warm epsom salt water don't let them drink it, then slather on some neosporin or triple antibiotic nothing with pain relief in it. 2Tbs of ES to 1 qt of warm water. Do this for a couple days and see if it helps.

2 of those black spots were very easy to take off but beneath it is red and very sensitive.
This resembles scabs but no swelling at all.

I am scared that this hurts them.

Here is a close-up of the spot.

not a very good pic but this little guy is really kicking.
it really looks like small scabs. There is no tissue swelling or pus or anything like that but
these black spots come off when I pry them a bit.

I just put antibiotic ointment beneath their feet and will keep them on a clean
towel for the night, changing the towel when dirty.

These ducklings are only about 1 week old. I thought that bumblefoot formed over a longer period of time. :(
This is dreadful. poor babies.

I really think it's burns from the poop keep clean like your doing and soak their lil feet in warm ES water and put the antibiotic salve on. Poor babies. You never said what they were kept in where you got them.
