can anyone tell me what's wrong with my 11 week old rir? he's just standing around asleep most of the time all fluffed up,not eating/drinking as much as the others,just brought him into house and he's eating and drinking a little, but what's the matter with him?

 
he/she only eats/drinks when i wake it do so,should i keep doing this and if so how often? someone??
 
he's getting weaker now,not drinking/eating even when i wake him gently,i'm at a total loss here...
 
Do some worming and delousing. Examine vent, under wings etc looking for flystrike (maggots). You can stick a thermometer under the wing to check temperature. May be some kind of infection.
 
the chick died earlier today,took his body into the vet for a look she's almost sure it's not cocci, she noticed a couple of little deformities so it looks like he was never really meant to live. Have to keep a close eye on all the others for a few days anyway just to be safe,but so far they're all looking fine,thank god. Thanks for the advice
 
I wouldn't wait, I'd treat the rest with Corid. It can't hurt them and it just might save the rest.
 
Did your vet do a stool sample? I would make sure they did, not many vets know chickens. It is a little old for cocci but it is possible. That bird did not get that age and then die from "deformities" it had something.
