I just made the BESTEST Banana bread in the entire WORLD! YES I did! and so easy too!

Ingredients
BEAT:
½ cup butter, softened (stick)
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup white sugar
½ cup brown sugar (plus some for tops)
Add:
2 eggs
4 well-ripened bananas
½ cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add:
2 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons cinamin
½ teaspoon salt

grease 2 large loaf pans add batter 3/4 full
GENEROUSLY top with brown sugar

Bake 325 for about an hour for large loafs or 20 minutes for those 6" mini pans, when pick comes out clean they are done, after I see tops getting brown I layed foil loose over the top to keep from browning too much.

YUMMY sweetness!! I have tried so many and this one ROCKS IT!

For once in my life, I HAVE ALL OF THOSE INGREDIENTS!!! Gonna let DD make this when she gets home from school. She loves to bake.

Trying to think of the chaos that I haven't shared!

hmmm besides the Family issues......

I took a few random pics, just because......

Does this mean gobbler? we have a hissy turkey who puffs out when we are near? the other two don't do anything lol
They have since moved out to the growout pens

Out of the 4 initial Cournix quail, 2 inferts, 1 early death by Harmony dropping it and this one hatched, she/he is a loner, but I have a loner serama hatching right now that will keep it company later today, she hatch Friday I think.

I sold the remaining Ducks, I have too many mouths to feed and not enough on the plate right now.
so when chads chicks are gone from the basement, I will have one brooder down there along with the little quail box upstairs.
YAY!!!!!! its so quiet too! and it DONT STINK! and I don't have to go clean brooders tonight, or feed or water or yayyyyaaaaaa!!!!!

I have a spitz who I think has sour crop, doing the monistat treatment, she is a brat trying to get her to eat the thing!
My brahma are gonna be sold! Why the heck are they laying so sporadically! why are they not laying!! they are well in age! I am so mad at them freeloaders! 8.5 months old! ridiculous!
They are probably molting. Mine were being little jerks in the big coop, and then began laying well again. I did finally notice a bunch of feathers. Collecting eggs in the dark, I hadn't been seeing them. AS for my Marans pen, the silly BCM are laying EVERY day (you know they shouldn't) and the 2 EE in with them have not laid a single egg in over 3 weeks!! They are healthy as can be. No eggs.

Thanks Coch, Chicks!!! I figured that was it, but our friend who is keeping them temporarily feeds his all kinds of weird stuff, and I notice that his decrease in prod after he feeds them TONS of cabbage and other things. Is it possible for chickens to get gassy? Usually I see his prod fall after lots of cabbage and bean cakes that he makes for them....hope he is not throwing that to mine

I depend on the sale of my eggs for covering the feed right now......
Incorrect feeding can play a part too:

Incorrect Feeding

The average laying hen's skeleton contains 20g calcium and one egg represents 10% of that. Hens do have calcium reserves stored up in their bodies, but if they do not get enough calcium from their food for their egg shells the stores will get depleted very quickly and they will stop laying. It's important that laying hens get fed either a proper, balanced layer feed (mash or pellets) or a good quality all flock feed with a calcium supplement like oyster shell offered free choice. It is best to offer layer food "free choice" i.e. have the feeders full at all times, to ensure hens get enough food. Keep in mind that the average hen needs 5 ounces of food and 10 ounces of water to produce 1 egg. Feeding too much treats, table scraps and scratch means the hens will eat less of the food they need, so only feed limited amounts of those. Overfeeding scraps and scratch can also cause the hens to get too fat. Overweight hens don't lay eggs.

Your recipe is completely different from the one I use. I'm going to try yours sometime. It sounds nice!

Hey hoping someone can help me, i had a chicken die the last day because i couldnt figure out what was wrong with it now two more are showing the same symptoms,

1. Stopped laying eggs.
2. Watery poo
3. Droopy tail feathers
4. The chicken gets very quiet almost seems tame and doesn't move to much and is fluffed up

These are the symptoms in the order i noticed them happening.

They aren't egg bound because i couldn't feel anything.
They are new chickens i bought in a farmers market a wile ago.

Any help is much appreciated, thanks.
