Is it a bad sign for an internal layer/ egg yolk peritonitis?

Thank you, Pwad.

She still opens her mouth slightly to breath when she is in bed, but not to bad as much as I saw her last night.
I gave her Baytril in the morning. Hopefully she will feel better...

Thank you all!!!

Update 2/7/2014

Today she was not able to walk on the hard wood floor because the big abdomen the between her legs interrupt her walking.
It doesn't look as big as it used to be when she was the worst, but somehow she couldn't walk... her legs kept slipping side ways whenever she made a move to walk.

I tried to drain her, but as I mentioned yesterday, her abdomen is not like a water balloon... I found the softest spot to inject the needle.
When I put the needle into her skin, she breathed so bad, her eyes are so red and almost unconscious... That stress might kill her, I wondered? I put the needle down.
I started to cry and hugged her over the blanket that she was covered with.
I didn't want to take any risk to be honest.

After I gave her Baytril, she acted little better... she could walk on the hard floor even though she was shaky.

I realized how weak I was...

Your not weak, this hard what your going through with her. She knows that you love her. You do the best you can. : Hugs

Kathy, sorry not updating.
she stopped breathing harder now.
Her mouth is slightly closed to breath.
I think that she is getting better, thanks to Baytril.

How is your chicken after draining ?
Oh my goodness, you are so skilled to drain her. My hand with needle was shaking when I tried to inject it into her.

I drained mine twice, but she died. Her necropsy revealed some type of cancer, so noting I could have done would have saved her. At least she died in a nice warm house on a nest of clean towels.

I do have another hen that I have drained twice and she's doing fine and it's been almost a year since I drained her.
