Safe to eat eggs?

Casportpony and I both use safeguard liquid goat wormer. Dosage is given orally undiluted; 1/2cc to standard size birds, 1/4cc for smaller birds. Use a syringe without a needle to administer.

Okay, so it's Safeguard (Fenbendazole), not Durvet (Pyrantal Pamoate). :D The Safeguard you have is perfect!

Kathy and dawg thank you so much!! I have been heartbroken over losing 1 of my pullets 3 weeks ago, and trying to not lose any more!!

I caught them up one by one last night and they got their first dose. Catching them up again tonight for second dose. And repeat the day after.

Now the question is, can I feed these eggs to my fogs cooked? I'm deworming my 2 greyhounds too at the same time..

there is no withdrawal time for safeguard. Even you can eat the eggs.

Most people use a 14 day withdrawal with fenbendazole--that would be a total of 24 days if giving it once and repeating it in 10 days--and includes pets and people since there can be trace amounts of it in eggs.

The dogs are getting the same dewormer, & love boiled eggs for treats. Looking at the 4 eggs on the coutertop with hope and longing in their eyes. Feed to dogs taking dewormer ok? Feed eggs back to chickens (cooked?), ok to give shells back to chickens or go into bin for composting in the spring for tomatoes etc?

Eggcessive- I'm doing safegaurd for 3 days in a row after 1 day of wazine, which has as of tonight been completed.

Whoops, well I did it for 3 days. Now done. Chickens seem happy, healthy. Jeanette is back on her lay. Josephine is on her lay. Missy, Bessie, & Nell (ee's & rose comb leghorn) any moment.

Getting valbazen tomorrow at the feed store for next time (3 months? 6 months?)

Anything else I should pick up for my chicken pharmacy/first aid kit?
