What would cause the egg white, Albumen, to be stained blood red?

Does anyone know what could cause this? I believe it was laid by a 2-3 year old silkie with no health issues that I can ascertain.

I would guess it is just a giant blood spot, The Poultry Site article has a list of possible causes http://www.thepoultrysite.com/publications/1/egg-quality-handbook/28/blood-spots If it is just a one time thing wouldn't worry about it, just a bigger blood vessel rupture than normal, small ones are pretty common.
x2. Looks like a big blood spot, or a vessel ruptured. Shouldn't be an issue, things like this are usually a one-off and aren't an ongoing problem.

I posted the same problem. One of my customers cracked open an egg that looked pretty much exactly the same. It came from a hen that's almost a year old...I've never seen that much blood in an egg and I'm hoping it's a one time thing as well...
