She is very low on the pecking order, she is getting sweeter the older she gets and I heard that means they are girls, I vent sexed her as a baby and came out with girl (I don't know how correct I was), I think she has a female partridge coloring, and she's very small.
I have a pic of what the hatcheries partridge Silkies are suppose to look like.

Does "her" comb look big to you? Her wing feathers don't touch in the back.

Did you get it from a hatchery? If so it could just be a hatchery quality pullet. But it's not very fluffy and it's crest is kinda swept back..which could change with age. It's still young, and silkies are very hard to sex. Some cannot be sure until it crows or lays an egg...in my opinion it looks rooish. But I'd give it a while and see how it changes..cause I'm no expert lol!

Based on the crest, which looks slicked back, I would say roo. But s/he is still young and silkies are super hard to sex. So I'd wait and maybe update in a few more weeks

Im gonna guess pullet

But definitely update with pictures in a few weeks. I see no streamers and her comb doesn't look large to me. She looks a lot like my partridge silkie that Im about 80% sure is a pullet.

Hmmm. This is a difficult one. One more week would make a difference in telling. I'm on the fence a bit with this one. I want to say pullet. But i'm wondering if you see and pin feathers in the back of the head/ neck. The head crest looks a bit roo-like. Only because it goes further down the neck then I would expect from a pullet. look for wattles forming too. they would be very subtle at 7 weeks.

Yes, I got her from IDEAL hatchery. A friend and I ordered together and they ordered all Silkies and I ordered a Silkie and some other standard sized chickens. Anyway my friends Silkies all have a swept back crest, so maybe all silkies from IDEAL have that? We got a mix of Silkie colors. She has always been really shy and quiet. I'm really hoping she's a pullet because I can't own roos in town.......but maybe if she turns out to be a roo then I'll keep her anyway as long as he doesn't crow very loudly.
