What is the sex of my 7 week old partridge Silkie? (UPDATED and FULL of pics!)

She is a unique little beauty. Looks small and delicate like a little girl, not very technical but gut feeling.

Ok everyone! Here are her 9 week old pics!















Her personality is silly. She always pecks off a bit when she's trying to eat something and then when she can't get it she leaves. She is still always getting left behind by the others but not as much as before. I'm having problems with her not being as tame as I'd like. She runs away when I try to pick her up and I try giving her treats when I hold her, but like I said she pecks over to one side of the treat and then gives up. I saw her crouch down once when one of the RIR roos jumped at her. I think she's a girl, but what do you think? I also think "her" crest is looking more girlish.

Here are her 10 week pics! "She" is still at the bottom of the pecking order even after I found new homes for my extra roos. She is very quiet and shy.
So anyway let's see what you guys think again. Also what is the BEST age to be able to tell a Silkies sex for sure.





















She's looking pretty crazy lately, but don't tell her I said that! She very careful about her looks!

Some more pin feathers are coming in. Oh and I have some more good news.

IMO, expecially if you havn't had any experience with the particular line they came from.....silkies are darn near impossible to tell until they start crowing or laying.

I've had hatchery birds that were showing roo characteristics early on. But once I deviated from those and got from breeders, it became MUCH harder to tell. I had one hen that I SWORE was a roo (would have put money on it) until I literally watched (in awe) an egg pop out before my very eyes. Over the years of breeding my own lines, I got pretty good at picking them out early on, but it was based off of personal experience with my own birds.

This could be a little gal or a roo boy. But it's too early to tell for sure. Whatever he/she is, it's beautiful!

Probably too young but some pictures look like hen and others look like rooster. What is the personality?
