Hi all,
I love playing this game haha!
If anyone has a similar bird I’d love to see it and any info that helps identify :
This is Cheeky ( we were told possibly part Ameraucana) aka Dodo.
She (still hoping) is around 14 weeks and came with 4 other BYM siblings.
She is just an interesting looking...
Anyone want to help me sex these Americaunas? One is a white and I was told the other is a silver, but almost looks blue to me? What are your thoughts? 10 weeks old. I know they are particularly hard to sex, but thought I’d see if anyone sees anything I don’t.
On my second time hatching, had a large americauna egg hatch. Needed intervention to zip the egg. Followed instructions from here and other websites. Now they don’t seem to be doing well. The chick seems larger than any other chick I have hatched. Anything I can do to help them out?
I just found one of my hen's who had recently dust bathed rather unresponsive. I picked her up, checked her back side and it is wet. I'm about to put her in an Epsom salt bath. What else can I do for her?
we have one Americauna that is 5.5 weeks. We bought her straight run. Can anyone help identify if roo or hen?
name is Mary Ellen Carter, and s(he) is really turning out to be a pretty chicken.
I hatched her myself and was told she was an Ameraucana. She came out of a blue egg but she’s been free ranging so I have never actually seen her lay an egg to know what color she is laying or even if she is actually laying yet. But she should have blue eggs. I’m having to sell my whole flock...
I recently had a hen go broody and I got some fertilized eggs from my neighbor. She successfully hatched 2 of them and they are now almost a week old! They are happy and healthy and living with the rest of my flock. I know one hatched from a brown egg and the other from a dark green egg. Does...
I have 2 Americauna chickens, one I believe is a rooster for sure because he’s been crowing for a while and just has the overall look of a rooster in my opinion. The other one is much smaller so I always thought she was a hen but lately she also started crowing with him and tends to spar with...
I know we had ordered a green "egger" but I'm not sure if this one is it. We had originally gotten 5 pullets. Found out 2 weeks later that we also had a snake in the basement we didn't know about and 3 of the babies disappeared from the large tub they were in in the finished basement where...
So I got both of these lavender americaunas. Both have looked the same, one was always a jerk the other not. However, one has started what sounds similar to crowing but not exactly. I’ve seen both of them go after each other fighting so I’m just looking for confirmation before I exchange them...
We have several baby chicks available for local pick up (Central Illinois). Breeds and hatch dates listed below. Happy, healthy, and strong. Vaccinated against Marek's Disease.
Americauna pullet (hatched 5/7/2023) - $7
Plymouth Barred Rock pullet (hatched 5/7/2023) - $6

Does anyone have chickens that have green feet? My new chicks are ameraucana and Marans so I'm not sure what kind of mix she might be. I'm excited to see what she turns out to look like.
I put them all together last week. At first my lavenders were scared of the babies, then the babies were scared of the big girls. Now they live in harmony although the babies are super messy scratching bedding and food all over the place especially in the water!
I have four 2 1/2 week old Lavender orp chicks and just added five 3 day old chicks I put them together in the brooder box and my big kids are terrified of the littles!!!
I was told Cinderella was an Easter egger when I bought her full grown but she looks like an Americauna to me. I know this is not the thread to post this but she has laid only one egg that had the lightest tint of blue to the point that it was almost white and since has only laid or should I say...
Hen or roo? Totally thought this was my hen out of 4 straight runs.. but now the saddle feathers area is looking more bustled with narrow feathers coming in. No color leaking though. Black/dark grey americauna - probably a mix. Around 16 weeks old. Hasn’t crowed yet though. Please help!
Hi everyone, I'm a newbie to raising chickens & also a newbie to East Tennessee. We just moved here a little over 3 months ago from Western New York. This will be our first time raising chickens. We have a rather unique set up in our backyard. It's fully fenced & then it's separated into 2 areas...
I’m pretty sure she is an Americauna but I don’t know the name of her feather pattern. I want more like her (her sister passed away, she needs a buddy or 5) 😊
Any suggestions on the name, how to order or where to order live chicks like her would be greatly appreciated.
