We are on the hunt for a champion Blue Australorp rooster that is true to breed. Located in Tennessee, but we'll travel for the right roo!! Any leads?
Thank you!!:frow
Hi! We recently bought some new chicks, previously 7/8 weeks old, however now they are around 14/15 weeks old now. At first we thought that our little Australops where all hens, however they are looking more mature now and we are starting to have some suspicions about some of our hens are...
These are 10 week old chickens we’ve had since 1 day old.
We were told they were barred Plymouth Rock but with a buff gene… born yellow but probably would turn out black/white barred.
They are nice chickens but don’t seem to be turning out as initially thought.
The breeder also had australorps...
I just got 9 Australorp chicks that are about a week old. (Yay) but all of them have solid poop stuck on their feet. Will it come off on its own or do I need to remove it and if so how?
My first batch of chicks never had this.
They’re also all just sleeping haven’t seen any eat or drink yet at...
Hello everyone. I’m a new chicken owner and just wondering if it’s normal for my blue Australorp chick to have brown feathers?? I know it’s not the best photo I’ll try take more tomorrow. Just more curious as to how the blue genetics work.
I’ve attached below a picture of one of our Blue Australorps. We’re stumped on weather it is a pullet or cockerel. The other 3 that we got with this one ended up being Cockerals and have crowed but this one is yet to do so. It is currently 13 weeks old. Any ideas on what it might be?
Thanks! :)
Hello!
I’ve attached photos of my 4, 12 week old Australorps (that’s what we were told they were anyways) and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they are roo’s or hens? I have a feeling 3 of them are Roos but I don’t know too much about sexing! They have colour identifiers on their feet :)
Hello there folks.
I have been looking for months for 6 Blue Australorp hatching eggs and I thought I may have found someone here but they haven't responded yet, so I thought I'd desperate post here. I haven't ever incubated eggs before but my noob incubator only holds 6 eggs, and it seems most...
I bought 2 blue australorp chicks from a pullet bin. Was taking photos of them today and realized one of them has a significantly larger comb and wattles are already coming in. I think it's a roo. I've never had a rooster before. Can yall confirm, and also provide any advice that might be...
Hi everyone! I raised 8 australorps (6 black and 2 blue) recently hoping for 4 hens (fisrt time having chickens since I was a late teen). 1 unfortunately had to be put down from an unknown neurological problem but of the remaining 7 I think I have ended up with 4 Roos and 3 hens. I am attaching...
