i have a total of 15 chicks including purebred playmouth barred rock and BCM and two little EEs (so i’ve been told). They are 7 weeks old and starting to grow combs and waddles i’m guessing i have 8 pullets and 7 cockerels! what do you see?
I’m not sure how the genetics work with sapphire gems and splashes but I know that the gem males are barred is it the same with splashes? I have a 3 month old splash who seems to be to be quite rosy in the Comb and wattles. I’m really hoping She will not turn out to be a He. I’ve already had to...

I am pretty sure we have at least one, probably 3 white Sussex boys, (incubated & hatched by our hens but from eggs we brought) in need of a good home. One is 6 weeks old & the others 4 weeks, so no rush yet but we can't keep them all unfortunately. Raised by our hens so not handled very much...
I have always been able to tell pullets from cockerels.....until I got these silkies. The oldest is about 18 weeks (black) the youngest is about 14 weeks (white). I see no behaviors that make me think one way or another and when I got them I totally guessed on sex with some educated guessing on...
Hello, I am new to backyard chicken farming. We purchased 7 “female” newborn chicks in April (born 4/1/20). They are now about 3 months/12 weeks old, all different breeds. We received an “extra” Wyandotte that is I believe is a rooster. Another one that I purchased, a black Orpington, is also...
So have 4 bcm and 5 other chickens. One of my 4 BCM looks like it will be a rooster. THEY ALL ARE 6 WEEKS OLD, and this chick has a bigger waddle and comb than the others. HELP ME PLZ lots of stress. I hope its a roo im 70% sure.

Can people please help me I’m so torn on this silver Wyandotte aged 6 weeks if it’s a cockeral or a pulley as well I have a hybrid from my own flock if anybody could help with that too.
I’m guessing the slightly larger one is male as he tried to peck me when I went to take the picture. How about the others? I was gifted the chicks so I’m assuming all male.
2 Delaware cockerels- in need of a new coop. RICHMOND VIRGINIA AREA. White ones. Their Hatch date was around April 13 (7 weeks at pictures). Message me any questions. Since I am aware that they are endangered heritage breed, hopefully someone needs a roo to help continue the breed.
Any thoughts?
Loud from the beginning. Just started reddening up but not the top of the pecking order because I have another large EE cockerel in the group.

Nugget is a three weeks old Buff Orpi and we're starting to have suspicions that they're a rooster (or cockerel at this point.) Is there anyway to tell this or is it too early? We were sold them as pullets but I know these local hacteries can make those mistakes. They're getting their waddles...
Can you please comment and let me know if my chick looks to be a pullet or cockerel? She was marked pullet at Tractor Supply but is much bigger than our other girls. She is 4-5 weeks old. Thanks guys!!!
I purchased this lot of three from a local feed store on April 1st. They were approximately 1 week old at purchase putting them at approx. 7 weeks now. I'm fairly certain that the RIR is a cockerel, but I'm concerned that both of the BO's are also cockerels. Can anyone help me identify. Please...
