Need help identifying the sex of three Silkies

I have 1 silkie we know for sure is a rooster but I have three “hens” that are a lot bigger than the rest that have crests but I’m not completely sure. They also have streamers on the back of their heads, which characterize that of a Roo, however I’d like to be positive of their gender.

I have a 2 year old Silkie hen that has been sneezing for about 2 weeks now. I saw her with a little bit of bubbles in the corner of her eye maybe 3 times and it was usually after she sneezed. I’ve been doing vet rx, but she’s still sneezing. She’s completely normal other than sneezing, she...

Multiple brooding silkies: is it a safe method?

My coop has just been renovated and is ready to welcome some inhabitants. Someone gave me 3 three week old EE chicks to start with, but I want to add a few more chicken breeds to get a colorful egg basket. ISO: Silkie Hens (Washington State)

I'm hoping someone has some hens to sell because I don't think it's fair for our rooster to be alone. Our 10 hens won't let our rooster near and since he's a wimp, he mostly gets attacked by them without fighting back. Does anyone have Silkie hens that they're selling? I don't care about the...

    Another Sick Silkie...

I know there is another post below mine about a sick silkie but I wanted to make a separate post for myself. I know kittens and puppies sometimes get a little discharge from their eyes that gets crusty and you can use a bit of warm water to help open it again. Is it the same with chickens? Is...

Hi, My silkie is roughly 8 months old. She is usually very lively, running around and playing with the other chickens. Can I move a broody chicken and her nest?

Hello! Today my silkie chicken went broody; however, she made the nest outside her coop! She did it in a small gardening gutter, that can easily flood if it rains geavily. Is it possible to move it without her abandoning the nest? I read that its better if I move her to a nesting box at night...
