••• INTRODUCING: The New Advanced BYC Chicken Breed Database & System

I created a simple page using progressive pictures of my production RIR rooster.

I thought I read that you could add 20 pictures, but I could only upload 11 pictures.

also, even though I chose MALE, it says that he is a female for most of the pictures.

It was interesting counting up how many days old he was. I have never pulled together the pictures of him and it was fun.

I have no true detail about the breed.. I posted it more so that people could decide if their chicks is a cockerel or a pullet.

also, I uploaded the pictures in order of his age... but now they are a mish mosh.

Is there a way that I can edit to change the Main picture?

You guys ROCK! Thanks for your patience as we work through the bugs in the system. We had the choice of either waiting months to do vigerous testing ourselves or just turn it out to the masses and get it done in a few days.... so, here we are!

We'll start addressing some of the issues and problems immediately. Others may take a bit longer to track down.

A few quick replies to some of the items:

Unfortunately, there is no edit feature right now.

But it is high on the to-do list once we get most of the other stuff nailed down. For now, simply create a new page, copy stuff over, and we'll delete the old one.

We want pages on all breeds! If the breed you want to post for isn't in the pulldown list, let us know and we can add it.

That's odd. What browser are you using? Anybody else having this problem?

For now we'll allow multiple pages per breed. Down the road we may consolidate them, but we really like the idea of different people sharing their own experiences and first hand knowledge of the breed.

Thanks again everybody and keep up the good work!

Rob on the Submit a Breed page, you have the two boxes. At the bottom they both say "To submit a detail page click here" The second box should say simple instead of detailed.....

Rob, FisherMom noted the same gender issue with posting. It's like you click the first box, and you're okay...then, you add another picture, and when you click the gender box, it sticks with THAT entry, and "unclicks" the first one. I'm not good at describing stuff, so hopefully that was clear (?)
