Well unless you are going to geld.

Meh, I would assume she would have him gelded once he got older if she ended up with the colt. Unless she really wanted a stallion...

No way, he might kill Dezi.

Yeah, I didn't think you wanted one.

That's what I've heard, and would most likely suggest.

Yeah, they are both pretty young, I'll just have to do some working with them.

Yeah.

I don't. My 4-H leader has this really gentle TWH stallion, they brag about how gentle he is, but one night he was in a little pen right beside some geldings, and he was screamed and rearing and throwing himself against the side of the pen. I passed on riding him.

Ah.

I would want a stallion, but I feel like it would be too much of a responsibility to own one.

I want a stallion when I get older and become a better rider and have a nice little pasture away from all the other horses for him.

As do I. *looks off dreamily*

I think that age doesn't matter, but rather temparment. Mares can indeed be moody, and will often have more 'bad days' then a gelding. Depending on the mare they can also be difficult with other horses.

However, some people connect better with mares or geldings.
AS a person who has worked with many of both, i know that I connect better with mares.

Can you ride/work with someone elses mare and see if you do well with mares or geldings?
My mom is a gelding girl.

Just my 2 cents.
