I have never ridden a stally so I couldn't say, really.

I haven't either, but I've heard they can be just like any other mare/gelding on the block if they've been trained right. I really want to ride one though.

I wish I could too. I bet they can be well-trained, but more spirited maybe...

Yeah it's awesome. So, I've decided that I'm going to buy a mare - hopefully some sort of sport horse. Irish TB, TB - whatever. Then, with the help of my instructor, find a suitable mate, then breed her and have a foal!

Lucky!

My parents would never have enough money to do that. Thankfully there will be a foal coming to my stables at March, though. They have a pregnant mare. ^3^

I can't wait until I can have or lease a horse...

I just have to keep reminding myself about the future. I really want to be a horse vet, and I will get myself a horse or two. Who knows. Maybe my parents will let me get one earlier somehow...

I will.

My parents said it was okay to lease, so I'm still looking. I might even ask my riding instructor if a certain horse at the stables is for lease if I like her next time I ride her (I'm riding a different horse next week, who's supposed to be really good ^3^).

I'm still debating; do I want to just lease through college and wait until I get a job to get a horse? That will be a super hard descision, suppressing my passion for horses (Dramatic much, me?), but it may well be worth it in case of financial trouble and overall experience. I mean, there's always when I turn 15 and can get a real job, but then my money won't be put to college. I don't know. It hurts really bad though, not being able to have what you want the very most.

That's cool!!!

I'm used to spirited, cranky-ish horses, so I think I would do alright.

Yep. ^3^ She's a cute little horse (I think she's a Mustang, Quarter Horse, or has one of those two horses in her bloodlines but I'm not sure) and is AMAZING. She's super sweet & has a pretty coat, and my riding instructor told me that she doesn't have any bad habits in the arena and she's a great gaming horse. I would lease her in a heartbeat.

Some people get all the luck with horsey parents; not us, 'parently.

My parents are all for horses, and my mom actually had a horse when she was my age. We just don't have enough money right now. But I'm sure we would have one if we did have enough.

I know.
