I was pretty much going 'Oh goodness, that's where Gerbil lives and she's been offline for two days!!!' *worried face*
Sorry about the power cuts. That must suck.

I watched the death toll jump from 25 yesterday morning, to 45, to 63, to 173, and this morning 280.... it's tragic

The area still has power out all over the place, the only reason we have it is because we live so close to an airport.

There haven't been many pictures of the damage on the news website, but I did get to see a fair few photos here on BYC

You live near an airport? I thought you were one of those people in the middle of the country!

They have had unending video and pics up on the news all day here.

Yep, but it's a tiny one out in the country!

I haven't seen any footage at all. I need to find some! All that's on the news this day is the Royal Wedding! *snorts in disgust* I think they're blowing it WAY out of proportion. I mean, live coverage on the night is fine, but they don't need to do an entire news bulletin on the army marching outside Buckingham Palace practising their routine!

In my opinion, there's more interesting news in the world for us to know about.
