Quite a few of those were children, I believe.

yesterday my dad told me about a German general who told the Brits,"Hey, I think this guy sold get a prize or something 'cause he's really brave and really cool, even if he DID sink one of my ships." I'd say that's pretty cool, considering the circumstances they were in.
