Stormshade finally spoke up "Hawkclaw, I know Willowstar told me to take it easy today but I'm the type of cat who can't do that all the time so I was wondering if you'd give me permission to go a patrol" he said kinda quickly before adding "Also the gathering is in two days and I haven't gone in a while so I was wondering if I could go?" He asks excitedly because he was still a young warrior and enjoyed going to the gathering a lot.

~Hawkclaw grinned with amusement at the young warrior's enthusiasm. "Well, Willowstar is out of camp, so sure, if you're feeling better, why not? And, ultimately, the Gathering choices are for Willowstar to decide, but I'll be sure to put a word in for you- you deserve it!" Hawkclaw gave him a laughing wink.~

(WaterfallClan)~ Ashstripe picked her way around the bogs, careful not to set paw in any soft area. I really should've come out here alone- I could fall in and no one would hear me... She flared her nostrils and searched through the recorded scents. Ah-ha! There it is! There was a healthy clump
maybe a fox-length ahead of her. Forgetting her caution, she ran forward for it and her paws were sucked out from beneath her. Oh, Great StarClan!I just did the very thing I was warning myself against!! Ashstripe immediately froze up as she began sinking into the sucking moss. Don't move- you'll sink! Foxtail's warning resounded in her mind. Instead, she filled her lungs with air and screeched out a cry for help, even though she knew well no cat from her Clan could possibly hear her...

Willowstar's sharp hearing had picked up on yelling that sounded like it was far to her right. Willowstar strung to her feet and abandoned the pile of fish she had just caught before racing towards the calls for help.

(WaterfallClan)~ You stupid, stupid mousebrain! Ashstripe raved at herself as she slid up to her chest in murky bog. She vainly fought the irrisistable urge to kick and thrash about. Again she cried out as she sunk, the scum almost covering her white chest completely.~

Willowstar had found where Ashstripe was being swallowed by a deep bog "Hold on Ashstripe I'll find a branch to pull you out with!" She yelled to her as she desperately ran to find a branch. Willowstar had to run for a moment before she found a study branch and she quickly dragged it to Ashstripe "Here grab the other end and I'll pull you out" she says though a mouthful of branch.

Willowstar had to run for a moment before she found a study branch and she quickly dragged it to Ashstripe "Here grab the other end and I'll pull you out" she says though a mouthful of branch.

(WaterfallClan) ~ Ashstripe, the muck now up to her shoulders, frantically half-lurched, half-paddled forward and wrapped her paws around the end of the branch. "Willowstar," she breathed, panting, her eyes rolling with exhaustion, "If it comes to either saving me or yourself, I do not want you sacrificing a life- do you hear me?" The sudden ferocity in her exhausted whisper almost scared Ashstripe.-~

~Ashstripe felt as if the bog were going to rip her entire pelt from her body as Willowstar pulled. Already Willowstar was visibly tiring. Oh, come ON, suction! Give up! Ashstripe abruptly began to thrash around with her legs. The bogs' grip seemed to loosen. It's working!!!

(Waterfallclan) Willowstar gave last tug with the rest of her remaining strength. With the tug come a satisfying pop noise and Willowstar open her eye to see that Ashstripe was free for the bog. "That was a strong bog, are you okay?" She asks concerned.

~Ashstripe sits up and rubs her head. Her mind was buzzing terribly and she was laden in green, mucky algae. Willowstar lay next to her, panting. Ashstripe immediately forced her collasping legs up and she tottled over to Willowstar. "Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you, Willowstar! You just saved my life!!!" Ashstripe mewled, extremely grateful and amazed. She nuzzled Willowstar immensely, then pulled back as she remembered how utterly repulsive her pelt is.~
