«We Could be Heroes»

Crow landed on her head. "Caw!?" He squawked, staring at her face. Something in her eyes seemed... different. Misty?...
Misty rushes over to Gage, dropping to her knees and sliding next to him. Her sword clatters on the ground beside her

(HE BETTER NOT DIE MISTY HAS LOST TOO MANY PEOPLE SHE LOVES)

"For the-" he coughed up green ooze, "Bible tells me so."
Misty kneels in the remains of Gage's wings
She holds his hand, her hair shadowing her face
Please, dont die
Gage dont leave me
Please
Ive lost to many to lose you too
Please dont leave me..
I love you..

"They are weak but he is strong," He sang his voice was barely intelligable anymore, yet somehow he felt the pain numbing. He turned his head, and smiled up at them. "Hoo-rah." He said. And he closed his eyes.
Misty begins to murmur along with his song
Yes Jesus loves me,
for the Bible tells me so

"Gage dont leave us"

and she kisses Gage

Crow wavered as drowsiness threatened to overtake him, and was knocked off Misty's head as she rushed away. He hovered in the air, for the first time noticing the huddle of people over by the stairs he had used to enter. He flapped over, dropping down onto Rex's shoulder. He looked down at Gage, and his heart dropped. Gage's wings were hanging limply from weird, rotted-looking arms. He was pale and his eyes were closed, and he didn't appear to be moving at all. "Caw...?" He croaked, staring desperately at Gage. He CAN'T be dead. Gage is the most pure of any of us... all he's ever wanted to do is help people. He can't be...

As the last of his wings turned to a black puddle on the ground, silence fell. Soldiers grew still. Some took off their masks to better see what had happened.
The one Gage had knocked to his feet stared. "He... said he would never use that." Came a whisper.
Someone dropped their mask, then another. Followed by weapons. Faces came into the light for the first time in years.
