«We Could Be Legends»

"Guys, lets please chill out and get back to the subject of people who were attacking us." Lachlan muttered.
Sherri slithered back over the couch with feline grace and settled herself back over the book.
Some project, thought Emily. And it took all her self control not to destroy River's nice copper pan.

(Me too.)
Emily heard the hamburger sizzling, and began to squish it again like she wanted to squish that bad influence cat-boy. She hoped just because he was a cat too didn't mean Sherri should do what he did.
River slid her eyes back to Emily. "I understand it was wrong of him to slap Jessi's shoulder and snap at her and Sherri, but don't be too hard on the kid. He's going through some stuff that not everyone here understands." Except me.

Brisa nodded in agreement and turned back to the picture in question. "Do you recognize her? I think she might be Wolfram's mom, from the way he reacted." She said, hoping Lachlan knew who the strange woman was.

"Uh huh," she said. "Hamburger's done," she said, adding the pan to the accumulating pile of lasagna ingredients.
Cheese, meat, sauce. "Time to construct," she said.

Lachlan quickly looked away. "That woman used to be one of the Heroes, like our parents." He said. It wasn't a lie, she had been, he just didn't add in that it was Wolfram's mother.

River helped put it together, her ears swiveled back to listen to everything the teens said.

Alice tried to get a closer look, but her attention suddenly snapped back to entryway door as it crashed open.

"ALICE! CAMILLA! CAAAR. NOW!" Tayn yelled. Alice curled her lip rolling her eyes.

"Seriously Mom? Stop making a scene." She said disdainfully.

It went in the oven and Emily leaned against the counter with a sigh, wondering why she was getting involved with this.
"Frozen veggies? Fresh veggies? Cookie dough?" She questioned River.
