«We Could Be Legends»

"There's Kiddo." River announced triumphantly, pointing at Taylor's face.

"You think Mikki would be up to it, even?" River mused.

"Are you saying Bleddyn's stupid?" Wolfram snarled. But approaching footsteps alerted him. He looked up, meeting the bright green eyes of Lily. "Wolfram?" She whispered, looking horrified.

Maryella, was surprised to see the kids from saturday back out side her shop congregating with several adults. She had been wondering how she was going to help him, when suddenly she had her self a small army dropped squarely in her lap.

She grabbed her old bat from next to her door, and wheeled herself out to the group. Giving a couple of the adults a curt nod, she skipped introducing herself and just got straight to the point.

"They've got Tom!" She barked, "We haven't got long they'll be after it."

"Actually I was about to ask you the same question. And what are you doing to my boyfriend? He obviously looks uneasy." Lily asked almost coldly.
"Lily....we're over, remember?" Wolfram rasped.
Lily looked over to him, her eyes softening as she saw his haunted and broken state. "What happened to you?" She murmured, completely ignoring what he had said. She came closer to him, and just hugged, him, burying her face against his shoulder. "You scared the life out of me, Wolfram! I thought something happened to you!" She whispered, almost sobbing.
Wolfram let out a soft whimper as she hugged him, whispering softly into his ear. His arms instinctively wrapped around her back, cradling her against his chest. He gave River a almost guilty look, before glancing down at Lily. "I'm sorry. But you need to go, now. It's not safe here. Just go, alright?"

Maryella's mouth dropped open, there weren't many that had the gall to back mouth her anymore. She lifted the bat and pointed the end at Brisa. "I saw you the other day." She growled. "The locksmith. The Pure have the Locksmith."
Connor paused his vigorous consumption to give them a fantastic bloody grin.
A tendon swung from his teeth.

“I’m sure Mom would be down to do anything to help avenge Tayn’s death.” Brisa replied absentmindedly, distracted by Lily’s arrival. So that’s the girl who hurt Wolfram. She thought, studying her, amazed that she had the gall to turn up and pretend that nothing had happened, that it was a misunderstanding. Giving Lily a small, uncertain glare, she turned to Maryella, recognizing her from earlier. At the siren’s words worry crossed her features, her hand going unconsciously to her pocket and her mind to the kind older man who had given them the key. “How long ago did they-” she trailed off at the sight of Aunt Misty and Uncle Connor... eating people? She paled, feeling nauseous, and turned away, the sound of Finlay gagging somewhere behind her in no way helpful. They are SO lucky that the park is empty. They definitely aren’t providing much evidence for the “Inhumans are harmless” thing!
