«We Could Be Legends»

"Right here, Frosty."
Leona strode in, her face smeared with blood dripping down from a jagged cut over her right eyebrow, spilling crimson over her tan face until it was stained red. "Glad you're good. We ain't got many fresh."

Toby stood up quickly, aiming the gun at her. It took him a moment to recognize her, and he lowered his gun. He dug around in his backpack until he found a first aid kit. "You're bleeding pretty badly. Let me help." He said, digging around in his first aid kit.

"Oh." Bleddyn winced, easily picking up on all the dark tension behind his words. He was telling her something severe had happened without voicing it.
Do I really even want to know? "...you guys ran into him again?"
"If 'ran into' means they stalked our every move and then decided to attack us, then yes." Wolfram growled softly, his words sharp and tense as he almost seemed to tip-toe around the severity of the fight.

"Dang." Bleddyn decided to be wise and not to press further. She'd known Wolfram long enough to realize this conversation could end badly if not quickly dropped.
So she just stood there and let awkward silence do its job.

"Actually I have so many other words that I would use right now other then dang." Wolfram muttered. The silence drew out for what felt like ages, becoming increasingly awkward with ever second. "So are you staying or what?" He broke the silence with a irritable snap, wincing at the harshness in his tone.

"I bet you would," Bleddyn agreed in an suppressed undertone. Her head then underwent something not quite an affirmative nod and not quite a rebellious shake. "No, but I guess I'll be unconventional and fly."

"You don't have wings, so that's impossible." He growled, instantly regretting the coldness in his voice. "Sorry." He muttered quietly, dropping his gaze. "I'm actually just going to shut up before I say something I regret." He murmured, reaching for the handle of his car door.

You don't just not have wings, you don't have anything- so it's all impossible.
Bleddyn shook her head sharply to dispel the dark dictator and backed off, putting the long overdue distance between herself and him. "No, it's fine, and I'll be along."
She bit down on her lip and spun on her heel, now in search of her elusive parents.

Please don't leave.... Wolfram watched her leave, guilt ramming against his chest. 'Bleddyn doesn't have any powers, and I don't want her to feel left out, so don't tell anyone, ok?' He remembered Alice's words distinctly from the other day as he ripped open his car door, sliding inside. He regretted saying that, he regretted even speaking to her at all. But do you really?

"What do you mean, why so?" Wolfram growled softly. "The key is a poison, Sherri. It'll kill all shapeshifters, mermaids, centaurs and those of the like, if it gets in the hands of Mapleshade. We can't let that happen." His body was tense, eyes widened with fear, pupils thinned into incredibly thin slits. "If she gets that poison, almost everyone in this group will be killed by it."
"If it isn't the god of chaos and death made poison, literally made by the elemental of poison AND blood I dont think it would kill me. That poison almost did... Honestly, I think I did die..." Misty shook her head and lifted her chin.
"Lets go," she said proudly

Zion and Delilah exchanged glances.
Holy crap Mom has really been through hell and back. Zion thought
Mom is so strong... Why cant I be like that? Delilah thought

The three then slipped into their animal skins and hopped in the car with their mother, who placed her sword on the floor of the car. Ice smoke poured from it for a few moments and she warned everyone not to go near it.

Sherri squirmed as far away as she could. This person was intimidating, so was her sword. But most important, Sherri was concerned by the fact she had no idea what the weird, ravenous wolf was talking about.
Plus, her being a dog and all was still concerning.
