Brisa took a deep breath, weighing whether or not to continue, then barged ahead. “But if Mapleshade had been truly loyal to your mother she wouldn’t have done what she did. None of us will EVER have to worry about you betraying us.”
(should Virio be in the same car or should he have taken a random way of getting there?)

Wolfram winced, letting out a sharp sigh. I'd say I'm sorry, and I am, but I know it means nothing. Words mean nothing.
After they had traveled in silence for a little while Brisa spoke. “I’m sorry I said that.” She told him quietly. “I-I shouldn’t have.” She let out an soft huffing sigh and leaned her head back on the headrest, her worried gold-flecked eyes searching his tense face in the rear view mirror as he drove, a shaft of sunlight causing her to blink and look away when it hit her face.

Jenna sighed. "No, I'm sorry. Everyone has been under a lot of stress recently. I could've-should've-said that nicer than I did." She said to Bleddyn apologetically.
Bleddyn shrugged indifferently and focused on the floor. The patterned mat swirled before her eyes, confirming the mental turmoil that was looming.
Petty....this is all so petty...I am. Look at Aunt Tayn and Uncle Thomas...and we're just...I'm not helping anything...why...

Ash elbowed her dense husband once more. He finally got the hint and let his body morph into a much more space conservative canine. She briefly scratched between the wolf's ears, approving of his overdue realization.

Bleddyn clambered onto the seat and settled down closest to the window. She pressed her face up against it and remained heavily silent. Connor turned to lay his muzzle on her lap and huffed, expectant of a pat or two, but she remained unresponsive.

Ash watched her daughter for a long moment, then turned back to Jenna. "Don't feel bad, Jenna," she mused quietly. Her eyes were glistening after seeing her daughter so distant and for a painfully obvious reason. "It's not you that's inflicted this upon us all."
