«We Could Be Legends»

Jessi grabbed the bags and handed one to everyone. This is weird, now isn't a good time for eating. Don't get me wrong, I'm starving and I love food, but still…
Brisa took one, suddenly realizing how hungry she was. Then something occurred to her. “Hey, Wolfram, when was the last time you ate?” She asked, trying to remember if the skinny teen had eaten at River’s house.

"I don't need food, Brisa, I need to get this frigging key so half the population doesn't die!" Wolfram snarled, his thin rope of patience slowly being shredded. Pangs of starvation clawed at his belly, but at the same time the thought of eating was revolting. "Really glad you care, Brisa, I really do, but I am truly more focused on making sure no more people die!"

“Okay.” She replied, a slightly mocking hint to her voice as she added quietly, “Good luck saving people after you’ve passed out from hunger in a moment of high intensity fighting or something and put someone else’s life in danger because we have to save you because you haven’t eaten in about three days and were too stubborn to when food was offered...” She trailed off, eyebrows raising slightly at him as she walked away towards Indigo.

"Give me the Key Brisa! If no one is going to cooperate I'll just go get it myself!" Wolfram snarled, coming to the end of his short rope of patience.

She whirled to face him, a defiant look on her face. “Calm down.” You have no right to tell him that. Looking at his troubled, angry face, she relented, despite resentfully not moving any closer to him. “Okay, look. While they make food, you, I, and whoever else is coming’ll go in there and get it. Who else is coming?” She asked, grumpily worried about his overall well-being. “And when we come back out, you better eat, alright?”

Breathe, breathe, don't do anything stupid...
"You aren't my mother. Shut up, and stop telling me what to do." He snapped, glancing over his shoulder. "River and Jenna! If you don't hurry up I'm leaving to get it myself!"

"I believe the plan was for River and I to join you." Jenna said. She seemed unfazed by Wolfram's outbursts.

(@RiverStorm isn't on, we should probably wait for her.)

“I’m just trying to look out for you, okay? ‘Cause you clearly aren’t!” She retorted. “I finally have real friends now, and that’s rather new to me. Look, when I make a friend I gain a family member. I’ve always been like that, so get freaking used to it.” She turned away, setting down the food packet she was holding forcefully.

Brisa nodded at her, tired of talking.
(Okay :))

Misty looked at the others starting to make food. "I can go get some protein if any of yall are ok with eating rabbit or squirrel," she offered. "I could look for bigger things but I don't know what I'll find." She then looked back at her kids, who most likely needed a substantial meal rather than raw rabbit...

"Or me," Misty snarled while looking over her shoulder with narrowed eyes.
