*°Hell as White as Snow°* (A Role Play)

Nora gave her a weird look, "Of course it was playing on the radio it had just happened like a few days ago, it was all any station would talk about. Ah the interrogation makes sense then." Nora said with a nod
Pulling the blanket up to cover her neck, Janette glanced around nervously. Something was definitely off about this Nora—or was something off with herself? "Are you sure it was 9/11?" She asked, for clarification. "You're not thinking of the bombing in Paris, or the 2050 attack at the Pentagon?"

"The last day I remember was September 13th 2001, wait 2050, what attack on the pentagon? What are you talking about?" Nora said with panic rising in her voice, she looked frantically to Gjoran and back to Janette. It was one thing to wake up to this different world but to also find out that it wasn't even remotely close to the time she remembered was too much. She had kept a cool head this whole time but she had reached her limit.

Worry was overcoming Janette; this was all entirely stranger than she could have imagined. She, too, looked to Gjoran for a response. "I wasn't alive when 9/11 happened, but it seems you weren't even there when the Pentagon was hit. It is—excuse me, was—a massive ordeal. That is why I left the US," she explained.

Nora sat, or pretty much fell into a sitting position on the floor of the cave. Her face was a mask of confusion, sadness, and just empty. All she had known was gone, she had hoped for a time that maybe her friends might still be out there, or at least she would find out what happened to her old life. But who was she kidding, she was just telling herself there was hope for all that until now. This woman, Janette wasn't even born during 9/11, and she was talking about an attack on the pentagon that she had never even heard of. So unless time travel was suddenly possible she had been what missing and frozen for fifty or so years? How was that even possible, she hadn't aged a day, and how had this happened. Nora needed to time to process this all, as it all finally started to sink in, she could feel herself unravelling and she didn't want to fall apart in front of them. Especially not her knew friend Gjoran she had put on a brave and strong face this whole time she didn't want him to think her weak.

"I'm sorry I am suddenly not very hungry. You two can share the food I am going to just go find some place to sleep." And then without another word she picked up a blanket and the flashlight and wandered further back into the cave. She found a small room further in that was sheltered and had no wind from the mouth of the cave. She made a little bed, laid down and pulled the blanket up to her face. After turning the light off she buried her face in the blanket and let lose a quiet sob.

Janette felt quite like doing the same, but she didn't. Now was not the time. She moved towards the fire and carefully stirred the pot Nora had left. She shot a few glances to GJoran before finally speaking. "What do you remember last?" She asked in quiet, hardly audible voice. She was afraid to hear his answer.

( @HoodedHuntress )

( waking up 1000 years later tends to do that to a person)

(yeah I am thinking in the morning I will have her kind of pull herself together. I don't want her to be a basket case but wanted to show a moment of weakness and real emotion. gosh now that I said that it make me sound like when I was writing my book, gotta remind myself that this is a game not a book. )

(there's nothing wrong with writing this like a book ;) it makes it all the more enjoyable to read for others and yourself)
