*°Hell as White as Snow°* (A Role Play)

"Well a big hole is hardly caused by a snowstorm," Janette said snappily, immediately regretting both tone and words after the fact. "Sorry. I'm sorry," she murmured, turning away to leave since Nora had come out.

(Do you want to pause till Gar returns?)

(Sure i will wait to answer until Gar gets back. )

"This is the way we came from yesterday, right?" Ian asked, looking to Madeleine.

She nodded bluntly. "Oui, je believe so." She turned around fully to make sure everything looked similar, which it did. They should be there soon now.

(If you want. The whole point of this outing was so he could be found.)

As they continued to walk, nearing the destination Ian was searching for, Dierk noticed a very dark figure that was not so dusty and eerie as the two he had just recently seen.

He was not as far away either, and appeared to be approaching their group of few persons with some small and frail-looking thing in his arms. His nearly black skin created a sharp contrast, and his breath could be seen in the air. Dierk wondered how they hadn't seen him earlier, even when he was still a good ways away.

"I see a man." Dierk stated forwardly, gesturing to the very obvious man in the distance. He didn't appear weak, but he looked worn and rather hurt as he could be seen trekking in their direction.

Ian broke into a jog but, thinking better of it, soon slowed so he wouldn't freak the person out. "Hello!" He called out.

Madeleine narrowed her eyes in order to see the person more clearly. She couldn't discern much from the distance, so she continued forward with the men.

(In what way should I involve myself in this situation? :p)
(we were just waiting till you returned so here wouldn't be a ton of posts to sift through, and so both groups stay on similar timelines.)

(Ah, alrighty.)

Bobo looked to the group of people approaching him, and tried to walk as quickly as he could without dropping his limp sister or hurting himself any further. He felt so incredibly thankful and relieved that he had found others who appeared to be in the same situation as him, but as he finally could tell what they looked like he silently grew a little worried. They were all whites, and he was unsure if any of them would be willing to help him now once they realized he was just a weak slave. There were so many of them out there, they were usually just seen as burdens.

But he replied to Ian's call all the same, hoping these people were kind souls.
"Hello!" He shouted back with a hoarse voice and walking faster, "I am lost, please help me!"

Ian sped up so he could converse more easily with the person. As he neared, he could see the bundle the boy held more clearly, though still not enough to tell what it was. "Are you injured?" He asked worriedly as he looked him over.

Nigel recoiled like she had physically slapped him, not having expected her reaction. Well fine he was only trying to be polite but if that is how she want to treat people he wasn't sure she deserved his politeness. He turned to Nora with a questioning look.

Nora too was surprised by Janette's response but she didn't comment on it, they were all under stress. "Well if you are all ready to go, I suggest starting the trek back to the cave now. It will probably take a little longer with the extra weight." She said as she readjusted the pack on her back to better distribute the weight.

Janette nodded her agreement with the suggestion. She slipped both arms into the backpack full of food supplies and turned to go.

"I am not completely unscathed, but I am fine. It is my sister I am worried about." Bobo replied quietly, revealing the bundle he was holding which was in fact a very little girl. She was alive, but looked nearly dead. She had a blank expression in her eyes as she gazed, seemingly confused, and her dry mouth hung open with her head slumped to the side from exhaustion. She gripped onto her brother's collarbone that was protruding from the skinniness of starvation, but her grip was loose and weak, and only his stillness kept her hand steady. Her little ribs that were surprisingly visible barely moved as she breathed softly.

"Meine Gott..." Dierk muttered, shocked by the state of these two. The girl looked terrible, it was a pitiful sight to see a child in such conditions. But he wasn't sure if the boy was much better.

Ian swallowed hard as he looked down at the baby. His hand instantly went to his mouth, the shock of the image hitting him hard.

"Mon Dieu," Madeleine murmured, her reaction the same as Dierk's, only in her own language. She stepped closer and extended her arms for the child. "May I?" She asked tentatively.
