Bee giggled, and swan to shore, shaking shiny beads of water from his now-glossy coat.

She shook and glared at Bee before jumping out of the water.

A white wolf skirted the territory of Snow's west border, he breathed in heavily and let it rumble out.
Another wolf of equal size and brown in color met him several moments later, lowering his head in respect of the others rank.

"The woods reek fresh of wolf, this territory is claimed" hoarsely whispered the brown one as he lifted his head.
The white wolf grunted and faced the treeline, "Our those who claimed it still here, I see no wolves on patrol but I smell human on the air"
"An attack of some sort?"
"Perhaps they are injured beyond our help, Robin?" a smile twitched at the corners of his mouth.
"It is not our place to decide, Ox. We cannot go in with out Linxeye's word"
"I understand, no need to be a drag on my dream. Let us bring this news to Lynxeye"

Robin nodded and started away, noticing that Ox did not follow, he stopped and did and half turn.
"Ox? Are you coming?"
"Yes, you go on ahead, I'll catch up"

Falcon crouched in the bushes, unseen by the 2 other wolves. Her ears were perked and her eyes were alert, missing nothing

Sandpiper looked worried. Little beads of sweat grew on her forehead. [Post, Birdy, post!] The scent of human was ever thickening. It was stuck to this foreign wolf. It was in the air. And then, suddenly, perhaps only by telepathic knowledge, she knew she was need elsewhere. Creeping silently out of the bush, she followed her nose and mind. She could smell two intruders. They were speaking to each other, and she didn't like it.

Ox joined Robin several miles away from where they had broken off. He could smell their pack on the wind now, they were close now, within a couple hundred feet at most.
He howled long and low, Robin joining in with his slightly higher call. They were answered moments later, a chorus rising from what appeared to be shrubbery and snow dusted landscape.
They jogged on, meeting a single white wolf on the treeline. She was strange with her red eyes and small size, she was a snow wolf. That is what they called her at least, no other wolf was so in the whole of the pack nor in any of the packs they had spoken with.

Sandpiper could see them now, a white wolf and a brown one. Growling softly, she watched them quietly in the bushes, but at the almost-soundless noise of a grasshopper she cowered and nuzzled closer into the hawthorn bush.

Dove sniffed the air. Clouds had moved over the sun. "Let's go, pups," she said, abruptly. Leaping out of the brook, she shook her white coat and beckoned to them. "We must return to the nursery. There's danger on the air." Squirrel grew solemn. A lump of fear suddenly wedged in his throat, and a knot began to form in his stomach. His mother was rarely wrong about things like this.

*ears perked and rotating*

Wolves, a whole pack, on the move- the humans must have run them out- but they might be trouble...

gets up slowly...

I have a feeling that this will be a - unfortunate thing.

*Sounds the recall, calling Snow Pack home- *
