She watched "August" and "Osprey" getting friendly together, and smiled a distant smile. She seemed to be the centre of calm, and looked like a perfect picture lying in the snow, her ear twitching from time to time.

A long time ago, my mother had told me. That one day... I had the dream for so long. My father died to save me and gehelp me make it this far. I will be eternally grateful to him for that. I know my mother will be too, knowing that somewhere out here, her little girl is going to have a chance at life, to have others who will love her, the capacity to fulfill her aspirations. She stayed behind, chose not to go so I would have a better chance. I didn't know until that point how lucky I am to have had such wonderful parents.

While Bear went on a hunt, his ears tilted to the front; he heard something. He listened for a moment before sniffing te ground for whomever it was. He saw twitching gray ears and casually jogged over. "Who are you?" He asked the wolf in the friendliest tone he could possibly make of his gruff voice.

Crow still stood tail half out ears laid back sniffing constantly, his eyes just couldn't tell him what his nose was sniffing.
Crow had been with the catchers since the beginning, since had been a pup. No parents to lose no siblings to play with, he was a pet, the two leggeds had carried him two and fro. They had played with him until the day they brought in the cat. He regretted that day, replayed it in his head over and over. It was sunny out, he was in the yard running like a nut because he could, then they came home. He stopped and watched, they walked into the house when the familiar smell wafted by, KITTY smell. He ran to the door and started pounding, although kitty was not on his growing menu it was on his things to play with list...
The shorter two legged came out to see him, she petted him, he endured the petting, then she let him in. He smelled everything, his tail straight up and his nose to the air, then he spotted it through the fence they had set up to keep him out. It sat there fat and hissing, it had seen him alright and was less then happy with the safety precautions the two leggeds had set.
"Dog, great"
"Kitty!!! Come kitty!!"
"Are you insane-- Oh, wait, I'm talking to a dog..."
"I'm a wolf"
It smirked, "I'm a pedigreed Persian"
"What's that?"
It rolled it's eyes.

Days past and the two leggeds decided that cat and wolf could semi exist together, that's when they left us, they left us alone. They had gone to the store, when the thunder had started, the cat sat wound up like a yarn ball and I stood alert and ready. Hours past and I got bored so I walked into the little kitchen where food was served. It was there, it's pug face staring at me from my own food bowl, it licked it's lips and smiled. I was a pup back then and the only two things that mattered to me were my food bowl and attention. I couldn't just let this slide, like a bolt I was after him, tearing through what ever got in my way. Then boom, the front door opened, I instinctively crouched and bared my teeth. I don't know why I did, heat of the moment I guess. They reacted by chucking their bags of canned food at me, their pet.
The next day they called the catchers and came and picked me up, the cat smirked as we drove away. I was put in a pen, across from me was a bear, he was also in pen. But from the looks he gave me, I'm glad he was. There was another pen across from me, in it was a pup, a little black pup. There was a two legged in there to, it seemed to be playing with the pup. I whined and barked a bit, managed to get the bears attention.... Not helpful.. The two legged just continued to look on, still playing with the pup. Days past, another 'wolf' was added to my pen, he was old and almost blind. He talked with me about the wild, gave me hope to get free, I still owe him for that. Gerbil, the black pup, was now moved into a small pen close to ours. I'm still not if that was a good thing... She talked and talked, and whined, called me uncle, called Old gray Grampa. It lasted forever, at least until the puma came...

Whoa, on a roll this morn'in! I erase it and put in on the clan chat.

Falcon followed, raising her lip at the strange wolf

Sandpiper rose drowsily from her long, deep sleep by the bushes. The clearing was deserted, but she could smell live prey. And boy was she hungry! She slowly creeps off into the trees to follow the unknowing turkey.

Swan lie on a boulder, her vivid grass-green eyes watching everything, she could see it all from up here. She sprawled her legs out and stretched, then hopped down to fetch herself something to eat.

Sandpiper leaped up onto a high rock, a drop of blood falling from the limp bird in her mouth. She lay down and began to devour her first meal in days.
