Sandpiper smiles gently but steps back, not saying anything. She feels it is not her place as she has been here only a day herself.

"This is Snow pack"

 

[BirdNut]

"Snake." she answers blandly, her eyes still scanning each of them from head to toe.

 

[BirdNut]

"Snow Pack?" She muses, then shakes her head. "But, I thought the packs were all taken." She added, puzzled.

 

[Dutchgirl]

"Taken?" Sandpiper speaks without thinking. She checks herself, nipping her own paw.

 

[BirdNut]

"Taken." She nodded, then looked at the forest, her eyes searching. "I am far from home, where the packs were taken, maybe that is why yours remains safe."

 

[Gerbil]

"Mine was taken" Hawk said looking at the dog/wolf.

 

[BirdNut]

Snake nodded. She shook out her jagged fur, "I am in need of shelter, I have been alone for far too long, I wish to join."

 

[Dutchgirl]

Sandpiper's brown eyes brighten, but she says nothing.
