Torrent heard something behind her and turned away from the bright orb, blinded suddenly by the light change. She crashed into a tree. Oof! Fell to the ground

"Oh my, are you okay?" He asked as he landed next to her.

Torrent looked up, the stars clearing from before her eyes. 'Oh great... Have i wandered into enemy territory?' she said wryly, looking over the unfamiliar hen.

'I'm sorry if I damaged your tree. But yes, I'm fine.' she said slightly bitterly.

"I'm a roo, darling" said Skydancing, "Kinda picked up the fancy words from Gem"

'A roo, now!' Torrent said, genuinely surprised. 'Why, I would never have guessed!' she smiled coyly.

'gem your FAITHFUL mate?' she snapped suddenly

"We're-----not to that point yet.. Now what is the problem, Dear?"

'I have no problem.' she said sadly, turning round to face the tree. She looked at the patterns of ants crawling up and down the bark. 'Nothing you could do anything about.'

"And why not? I can try, Dear. We should head back, if worse comes worse, you can run away in the morn'in when the suns a shine'in!"

'You make sense,' Torrent said, feeling a little bit better round this strange roo with the cheerful attitude.

'He's cheatin' on me, I suspect. I thought we were real close, but there you go, MEN. Hmph.' Torrent snorted, without realising she'd lumped Sky into her stereotype as well.
