“Tricks” for early sexing?

I just read that post . . . I have a bunch of RIR and they're feistier than my BYM were . . . they're going on two weeks . . .I might give the angry wing test a go, lol . . . I'll post a video for kicks too.
I hope you don’t take this test too serious.

I’d love to know if any end up really being a way to know. We just got 16 babies 😅
3 of which were the sexed ones from TSC. Though I’ve read how that can go sometimes 😅

The commercial hatcheries have specialised and trained vent sexers.
Some people like to have breeds that are so called autosexing : differences in the looks of male and female at birth.
Most breeds are reasonably distinguishable at 4-6 weeks and people wait till the day they are sure.

Most people keep all their juveniles until the boys start crowing. Than most of the boys get a destination in the pot or the freezer. If you intend to cull the boys its not very important to know is it?

If you try to sell a cockerel to live a long and happy life elsewhere you can try to sell them as chick, but have a better chance if they are fully grown. Bc integration of a full grown cockerel into a group of hens is not difficult. Adding a chick is.

If you want to breed to perfection or a pleasant character, a separated boys residence is best for the time being. Bc you don’t want to cull a promising future line.
